Managing Pet Owners and Clients

In veterinary medicine, the patient is the animal — but the person who calls, decides, and comes back is the owner. A complete, well-organized client base is what turns good medicine into a lasting relationship. In Veetz, the owner registry connects directly to the patient records, so every contact, document, and pet link is always one click away.

Finding Your Clients​

  1. On the left-hand sidebar, click Clients Management.
  2. Click Explore Clients.

The list shows each client with name and phone, a Type icon (individual or organization), Email, Document Number, City, and Country. From the action bar you can search by name, add a new client, export the list to Excel, and print it. Click any row to open the full registration.

Registering an Owner​

The owner form covers everything your practice needs for contact, identification, and communication:

Identity and Contact​

  • First Name and Last Name (required).
  • Country Code and Cell Phone (required): The phone field adapts its format to the selected country — Veetz is ready for international clients.
  • Email: The address used for client communications, such as sending documents and messages from the clinic.
  • Gender and Birthdate.

Documents​

  • Document Type, Document Number, and Document Issuer: Official identification, preventing duplicate registrations and supporting billing and legal paperwork.

Address​

  • Country, ZIP Code, Street, Number, City, and State — essential for home-care services and correspondence.

Additional Information​

  • Is this an organization? Mark this option when the client is a company — a shelter, an NGO, a kennel, a breeding facility. The client appears with an organization icon in your list.
  • Bank Details and Additional Notes: Optional context that helps your team serve the client better.

Owners and Their Pets​

The real power of the registry is the link to patients:

  • On the patient's record, the Owner field connects the animal to its owner — and the info button shows the owner's contact details instantly during a consultation.
  • Need to register an owner in the middle of registering a patient? Use the + button right there in the patient record — no need to switch screens.
Accurate contact data pays off

The owner's e-mail and phone are the channel for everything your practice sends — documents, guidance, and communications. A minute checking contact details at registration saves hours later. See also Client Email Communication.
