Managing Breeders

For practices that serve breeders — or care for purebred animals — knowing where a patient comes from is part of the clinical picture. The Breeders registry in Veetz keeps kennels, catteries, and professional breeders organized, with licensing data and health history, and connects each one to the genealogy of your patients.

Finding Your Breeders

  1. On the left-hand sidebar, click Animals Management.
  2. Click Breeders.

The list shows each breeder's Name, License, Contact, and Email. Search, add, and click any row to open the full registration.

Registering a Breeder

Identification

  • Full Name (the breeder or establishment name) and Owner Name.

  • Website, Email, and contact details.

Licensing

  • License Number, License Issuer, and License Expiry Date: The breeder's registration with the competent authority — key for compliance and for the provenance of pedigree animals.

Care and Reference

  • Responsible Veterinarian: The doctor who attends the breeder's animals.
  • Certifications: Titles and certificates held by the breeder.
  • Health History: Relevant health background of the breeding lines.
  • Bank Details and Additional Notes.

Breeders in the Patient's Genealogy

When you fill in the Genealogy / Pedigree section of a patient record, the Breeder field links the animal to its breeder of origin — alongside the links to its father and mother. Over time, your records build a real family tree: lineages, origins, and the professional behind each one.

A differentiator for your practice

Practices that serve breeders professionally — with organized licensing and lineage data — become the natural choice for high-value animals. The breeder registry is where that reputation starts.
