Using the Digital Vaccination Card

Paper vaccination cards get lost, fade, and stay home on the day of the visit. In Veetz, every patient has a digital vaccination card: a living record of every dose applied, with batch traceability, next-dose tracking, and instant sharing with the owner.

This guide covers the day-to-day use of the card. To set up your vaccine registry and application methods first, see Managing Vaccines and Protocols.

Opening the Card

Open the patient's record and click the Immunize tab. The card shows one entry per vaccine, each with:

  • The latest dose and how long ago it was applied.
  • The status of the vaccine (see below).
  • The return date for the next dose.
  • The veterinarian responsible for the application.
  • Details of the dose history.

A dedicated Upcoming doses section keeps scheduled boosters in sight.

Card Actions

  • Share QR Code: Show the screen to the client — they scan the code and take the patient's vaccination card with them, digitally. A premium touch that owners love.
  • Print: A formatted copy of the card for clients who prefer paper.
  • Refresh: Reload the card data at any time.

Recording a Vaccine Application

  1. Open the Save button's dropdown menu at the top of the record and choose Apply vaccination.
  2. Fill in the application form:
    • Immunization (required): Pick the vaccine from your registry — or register a new one on the spot with the New button.
    • Application Method: The administration route, from your application methods.
    • Date of the application.
    • Batch Number: The vaccine lot — your traceability guarantee in case of recalls or adverse reactions.
    • Next Vaccination Interval: In how many days the next dose is due. This single number powers the card's status tracking.
    • Dose Count: Which dose of the protocol this is.
    • Adverse Reactions: Anything observed after the application.
  3. Click Apply. The dose joins the card immediately.

Understanding the Status

Based on the interval you set, Veetz calculates the next dose date and classifies each vaccine:

  • Up to date — the next dose is still far away.
  • Due soon — the next dose falls within the next 45 days.
  • Overdue — the scheduled date has passed.

One glance at the card tells your team exactly which patients need attention — making proactive contact with owners easy and keeping immunization schedules on track.

Turn the card into a client experience

Sharing the digital card by QR code at the end of the visit shows owners a modern, careful practice — and gives them a reason to keep coming back on time.
