Managing Vaccine Application Methods

The same vaccine can be administered in different ways — and the route matters for efficacy, safety, and record keeping. Application Methods in Veetz let you standardize the administration routes used in your practice, each with its own description and instructions, so every vaccination record tells the full story.

  1. On the left-hand sidebar, click Veterinary.
  2. Click Clinical Setup.
  3. Click Vaccine Protocols, then Application Methods.

Exploring Your Application Methods

The list shows each method's Name, Description, and Instructions. From the action bar you can:

  • Search by name, with suggestions as you type.
  • Add a new method.
  • Export the list to Excel.
  • Print the list.

Click on any row to open and edit a method.

Registering an Application Method

Click Add and fill in:

  • Name (required): A short, recognizable name of up to 100 characters — for example, "Subcutaneous", "Intramuscular", "Intranasal", or "Oral".
  • Description: What this route is and when it applies.
  • Instructions: Practical guidance for the team — recommended sites, needle handling, restraint tips, or anything your protocol requires.

Click Save when you are done. To remove a method you no longer use, open it and click Delete.

Where Application Methods Appear

When your team records a vaccination on a patient's digital vaccination card, the Application Method field offers your registered methods in a searchable dropdown. Selecting one takes a second — and your clinical records gain a level of detail that handwritten cards never had.

Start with the classics

Most practices cover their routine with four methods: Subcutaneous, Intramuscular, Intranasal, and Oral. Register these first and add more specific ones as the need appears.
