Creating a Single Receivable
A single receivable is the everyday case: one amount, one due date. A consultation billed on account, a service paid later in the week, a one-off charge to a client — anything you will receive once. This is the best place to start.
Opening the Form
On the Accounts receivable screen, click the + (add) button in the top toolbar. The new receivable form opens.
At the top, choose the Receivable type → Single receivable. (This choice appears only when creating a new account.)
Filling in the Identification
The Receivable identification section describes what the account is and who owes it:
- Organization (required) — the company this receivable belongs to.
- Payer name (required) — the client or payer who owes the amount.
- Payer document — the payer's tax or ID number, when you want it on record.
- Title (required) — a short, clear name for the account, such as "Consultation – Rex (Silva family)". This is what you'll recognize in the list.
- Document number — the invoice or reference number, when there is one.
- Issue date — the date the charge was issued.
- Category — the type of receivable, which makes reports and filters far more useful later.
- Currency (required) — the currency code, such as
BRL. It defaults to your usual currency. - Amount (required) — the value to be received.
- Description — any extra detail worth keeping, in free text.
The Currency and Amount are defined when the account is created and stay fixed afterwards, so the financial history is never altered by accident. While the account is still open, you can adjust details like the title, payer, category, or document number.
Setting the Due Date
Below, in the Schedule section, set the Due date (required) — the day this amount is expected. That single date is what Veetz uses to tell you when it is due, due soon, or overdue.
Saving
Click Save. Veetz saves the account on your device and confirms with "Receivable saved locally and queued for synchronization." — the receivable now appears in the list, with its status, due date, and outstanding amount, and is sent to the server automatically.
After saving, use the Next 7 days or Overdue shortcuts, or filter by the payer, to confirm the new account shows exactly where you expect it.
Next Steps
- Creating an Installment Plan — when an amount is split into installments.
- Creating a Recurring Receivable — when the amount repeats every month.
- Recording a Receipt — when the money comes in.
- Attaching Financial Documents — attach the invoice or contract.
