Record a product's stock entry

Record a purchase that arrived straight from the product record, without going to the general stock screen.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. Open the product and click Stock history in the side menu.
  2. Under Stock by location, click Register entry. The form opens inside the record, with the product's name, code and presentation at the top.
  3. If the product has presentations, choose which presentation is coming in. The entry never goes to the main product.
  4. Under Movement, choose the storage location and enter the quantity.
  5. Under Batch and expiration, fill in the Batch Number, Manufacture Date and Expiration Date, when there are any.
  6. Under Source and costs, choose the Supplier, enter the Unit Cost and, if you want, the Source Document Type and Source Document, such as the invoice number.
  7. Click Save.

Done

"Stock updated" appears. You go back to the same product's Stock history, already showing the new balance and the movement, without reloading the page.

Add records without leaving the form

Is the storage location or supplier missing from the list? Click + next to the field, fill it in and save. The new item is selected right away, and what you typed in the entry stays. If you cancel, the form doesn't change.

The new location belongs to the business you are working in. Adding a supplier requires permission to edit suppliers.

If something goes wrong

  • You left with data filled in: veetz asks whether to save, discard or stay on the form.
  • "Company changed. Select a storage location.": when you switch business, the location and lot are cleared, because they belong to the previous business. The other fields stay.
  • "Operation already processed safely.": the entry was already saved. Clicking again does not record another.
  • "You are offline.": stock operations need an internet connection.

For exits, adjustments, transfers and other operations, see Record a stock entry or exit.
