Set up a kit of products and services

Set up a kit for a product or service. When it is sold, the kit items are added to the sale with it. Example: a surgery that always takes anesthesia, suture and a dressing.

Before you begin​

  • You need permission to edit products.
  • The main item and the kit items must be in the catalog, published and with a price.

Steps​

  1. Open the main product or service and click Kit in the side menu.
  2. Click Add item. Search by name, SKU or barcode and click Add to kit.
  3. Set the Quantity of each item. Use the arrows to change the order.
  4. Keep Active kit on.
  5. Click Save.

Done​

The kit is ready. The Sale preview panel shows how many lines go into the sale and the Total per sale, at today's prices. See Sell a kit.

Good to know:

  • Prices come from the catalog at the time of sale. Changing a catalog price changes the kit total.
  • An item inside a kit cannot have its own kit.
  • Products with presentations: the kit goes on the presentation, not on the main product. Click Open variants and set up the kit on the right presentation.
  • To stop using the kit, turn off Active kit or click Remove kit. Sales already made keep their items.

If something goes wrong​

  • "Some items cannot be in the kit.": review the highlighted items. Each needs a quantity greater than zero and cannot have its own kit.
  • "The kit was changed by someone else.": click Reload kit to see the current version.
