Creating a Single Payable

A single payable is the everyday case: one bill, one due date. A purchase from a supplier, a one-time repair, a professional service — anything you will pay once. This is the best place to start.

Opening the Form

On the Accounts payable screen, click the + (add) button in the top toolbar. The new payable form opens.

At the top, choose the Payable type → Single payable. (This choice appears only when creating a new bill.)

Filling in the Identification

The Payable identification section describes what the bill is and who it is for:

  • Organization (required) — the company this expense belongs to.
  • Supplier — pick an existing supplier from the list. Selecting one fills the payee name for you.
  • Payee name (required) — the name of who will be paid. It comes from the supplier, but you can type it directly for a one-off beneficiary.
  • Title (required) — a short, clear name for the bill, such as "Vaccine order – March". This is what you'll recognize in the list.
  • Document number — the invoice or bank slip number, when there is one.
  • Issue date — the date the document was issued.
  • Category — the type of expense, which makes reports and filters far more useful later.
  • Currency (required) — the currency code, such as BRL. It defaults to your usual currency.
  • Amount (required) — the value of the bill.
  • Description — any extra detail worth keeping, in free text.
Currency and amount are set at creation

The Currency and Amount are defined when the bill is created and stay fixed afterwards, so the financial history is never altered by accident. You can still adjust details like the title, payee, category, or document number while the bill is open.

Setting the Due Date

Below, in the schedule section, set the Due date (required) — the day this bill must be paid. That's the single date Veetz will use to tell you when it is due, due soon, or overdue.

Saving

Click Save. Veetz confirms with "Payable saved successfully." and the bill now appears in the list, with its status, due date, and outstanding amount.

Confirm it landed in the list

After saving, use the Next 7 days or Overdue shortcuts, or filter by the supplier, to confirm the new bill shows exactly where you expect it.
