Payments and Cash in Veetz: A Complete Overview

Selling and receiving are two different moments. A consultation can be finished, the sale closed — and the money still on its way. The Payments area of Veetz keeps these two worlds organized: what was sold is one thing; if, how, and how much was received is another. This separation is what lets your clinic close an account today, receive part now and part later, split a bill between Pix and card, and always know exactly what is still open.

This guide is your map of the module. Each area has its own detailed tutorial, linked below.

Who uses this module?

The payment screens are available to users of a Veetz subscription. Typically the front desk and cashier receive payments and operate the cash register, while managers follow totals and approve refunds. If you don't see Sales in your sidebar, ask the administrator of your workspace.

Finding the Payment Screens

Everything lives inside the Sales menu, on the left-hand sidebar:

  • Point of Sale: where a sale is created and — with the Close and receive action — paid on the spot.
  • Explore sales: every sale shows its Financial status, and the details screen has a Payments tab.
  • Payments: the list of every payment received, with totals by payment method and the refund action.
  • Cash register: the operator cash session — opening, supplies, withdrawals, and closing.

Sale × Receipt: The Key Idea

In Veetz, closing a sale is a commercial decision ("this account is final"). Receiving money is a financial event. A closed sale can be:

  • Unpaid — no money received yet;
  • Partially paid — part of the total was received, the rest is still open;
  • Paid — the full amount was received;
  • Refunded — a payment was returned to the client.

The Financial status badge appears in the sales list and in the sale details, always separate from the commercial status, so "the sale is closed" and "the sale is paid" never get mixed up.

One Bill, Several Payment Methods

A R$ 900 account can be paid with R$ 300 in Pix and R$ 600 on a credit card — in a single receipt. The receiving dialog supports:

  • Split payment between as many methods as needed (Pix, cash, credit card, debit card, bank transfer, voucher, customer credit, and others);
  • Change calculation for cash, with shortcuts for common banknotes;
  • Installments for credit card (1 to 24);
  • Partial receipt — receive what the client can pay today and keep the rest open;
  • Customer credit applied in one click when the client has a balance available.

The tutorial Receiving a Payment covers every field of this dialog.

The Cash Register Session

Cash needs discipline. Veetz gives each operator a cash session: it opens with a change fund, records supplies and withdrawals (each with a reason), shows the expected cash with a full calculation breakdown, and closes with a declared amount and the resulting difference. Cash payments are only accepted while a session is open. See The Cash Register Session.

Customer Credit: The Store Wallet

Clients can keep a prepaid balance in your clinic — deposit today, spend across future visits. The balance appears on the client's record and inside the receiving dialog, with a full statement of deposits, uses, refunds, and cash withdrawals. See Customer Credit (Store Wallet).

Where to Start

If you are new to the module, follow the tutorials in the order of a typical day:

  1. Receiving a Payment — the essential counter flow: methods, split, change, installments.
  2. The Cash Register Session — open, supply, withdraw, count, and close.
  3. Customer Credit (Store Wallet) — deposits, statement, and cash withdrawal.
  4. Refunds and Corrections — returning money with a reason.
  5. Receiving Multiple Sales at Once — one payment for several sales of the same client.
  6. Exploring Payments and Daily Totals — filters, periods, and totals by method.
  7. Working Offline — what keeps working without internet.
  8. Troubleshooting Payments — blocking messages and how to resolve them.
Works offline where it matters

Receiving a sale keeps working without internet for most payment methods: the receipt is saved on the device and synchronizes automatically when the connection returns, without duplicating any charge. A few operations — using customer credit, refunds, and closing the cash register — require a connection. Details in Working Offline.
