Documents and Attachments

A signed consent form, an anesthesia responsibility statement, the photo of a skin condition before grooming — some sales need paper trails. The Documents tab keeps those files attached to the sale itself, where anyone who opens the record will find them.

Before You Begin

  • The sale must exist. Open it from Sales → Explore sales and go to the Documents tab.
  • You need an internet connection. Uploading, opening, and removing documents are online actions — the screen disables them while you are offline.
  • Have the file ready on your device, within the allowed formats and size.

What You Can Attach

As the screen states: "Allowed: JPG, PNG, WEBP, PDF and DOCX. Maximum 3 MB."

Each document also carries a category, so the list stays readable:

  • Responsibility statement — terms the client signed taking responsibility.
  • Medical certificate — clinical certificates related to the sale.
  • Consent form — authorizations for procedures.
  • Other — anything else worth keeping.

Attaching a Document

  1. In the Documents tab, choose the category.
  2. Type a clear Document description — "Anesthesia consent signed by Marina Costa" beats "scan1.pdf".
  3. Click the file selector and choose the file.
  4. Wait for the upload to finish and the document to appear in the list. Veetz will confirm on screen; don't repeat the selection while it is processing.

The list shows each document's File name, Category, Size, and who uploaded it.

Opening a Document

Click Open on the document's row. The file opens for viewing or download. This also requires a connection.

Removing a Document

Removal is deliberate by design:

  1. First, type the reason in the removal reason field — the Remove button stays disabled until a reason is provided.
  2. Click Remove on the document's row.
  3. Confirm the question: "Remove this document while preserving its audit history?"

The document leaves the list, but the removal itself — who, when, and why — remains in the sale's history.

Personal and clinical data deserve extra care

Attachments often contain names, addresses, signatures, and clinical details. Attach only what the sale genuinely requires, describe documents without exposing sensitive details, and never attach a file belonging to another client or patient. When removing, write a reason a colleague would understand a year from now.

Scan small

A phone photo of a signed form easily exceeds 3 MB. Scanning apps that produce compact PDFs keep you comfortably within the limit — and the file loads faster for everyone.

Common Problems

  • The file is refused for size: The limit is 3 MB per file. Compress the PDF or reduce the image resolution and try again.
  • The format is not accepted: Only JPG, PNG, WEBP, PDF, and DOCX are allowed. Convert the file before attaching.
  • The upload area is disabled: You are offline, or another upload is in progress. Reconnect, wait, and retry.
  • "No documents attached to this sale": The list starts empty — that message just means nothing was attached yet.
