Offline Use, Synchronization and Troubleshooting

Internet drops don't wait for the counter to be empty. The Veetz sales module was built for that reality: the point of sale and quotes keep working offline, and everything synchronizes by itself when the connection returns. This short guide tells you what to trust, what to wait for, and what to do when something looks wrong.

How to Recognize Offline Mode

Veetz tells you on screen when it is working without connection. In the sales screens you will see notices such as "Offline mode: operational commands are saved locally and synchronize invisibly when the connection returns." Screens that genuinely require internet say so too — reports, for example, need the server to calculate totals, and documents need the connection to upload.

What "Saved on This Device" Means

When you act offline — add an item, save a quote, complete an execution — Veetz:

  1. Saves your action on the device immediately. What you see on screen is already recorded.
  2. Confirms it visually. Quotes, for instance, show "Quote saved on this device."
  3. Sends the action automatically once the connection returns. There is nothing to press.
The golden rule: never repeat an operation because the internet dropped

Your action is already saved. Doing it again creates duplicates — twice the item, twice the instruction. If the screen confirmed, trust it and wait for reconnection.

When the Connection Returns

Synchronization is invisible: pending actions are sent in order, and the screens update themselves. Before continuing work on a sale that stayed open during the outage, click Reload to bring the latest version — a colleague may have worked on it from another device.

Resolving a Conflict

Sometimes two people change the same sale. Veetz never lets one silently overwrite the other. The one who acted second sees a message like: "This sale changed on another device. Reload to obtain the current Version before retrying the command."

What to do, in order:

  1. Click Reload on the sale or quote.
  2. Review the current content. The other person's change is there — maybe it already includes what you wanted to do.
  3. Repeat consciously, and only if still needed, the specific action that is missing.
Conflict is a seatbelt, not a crash

The message means Veetz protected the record. Never respond to it by clicking the same button repeatedly — review first, act second. Details on the shared-account routine are in Working with Open Sales.

Messages That Ask for Your Attention

  • "Connect to the internet to load sales on this device" — this device has no local copy yet; the first load requires connection.
  • A stock warning on the sale — the sale and the inventory disagree; see Products, Services, Prices and Stock Behavior.
  • "Conflict — reload before retrying" — follow the three steps above.
  • A disabled documents area — uploads need internet; wait for reconnection.

Calling Support the Effective Way

If something still looks wrong after reloading, gather before contacting support:

  1. The sale or quote number involved.
  2. The time it happened.
  3. The action you performed ("clicked Close sale after adding the vaccine").
  4. A screenshot of the message on screen.
Never send passwords or sensitive data

Support will never need your password, and screenshots should not include clients' personal documents. Number, time, action, and message are enough to investigate.

Common Problems

  • "No connection and no local sales": Normal on a device that never loaded sales before. Connect once; from then on the local copy works offline.
  • A sale I created offline hasn't appeared for my colleague: It travels when your device reconnects. Check your connection, keep the app open, and it synchronizes by itself.
  • I closed the browser during the outage — did I lose the sale? No. Local saving persists; reopen Veetz and the sale is there, waiting to synchronize.
