Executions and Operational Instructions
Selling a bath is a commercial act; giving the bath is operational work. Veetz keeps the two connected but separate, so the front desk knows what was sold and the team knows what still needs doing. This guide covers executions — the operational life of each service — and instructions — the notes and tasks attached to a sale.
Before You Begin
- The sale must exist with its service or procedure items registered.
- Open the sale from Sales → Explore sales, then use the Execution and Instructions tabs.
Executions: The Work Behind Each Service
When a sale includes services or procedures, the Execution tab lists one row per unit of work, showing the item, the Execution status, and the responsible professional.
The statuses in plain words
- Pending: Registered, nobody started yet.
- Scheduled: Has a planned time, still not started.
- In progress: Someone is doing it right now.
- Completed: Done — this is the state that feeds the sale's execution summary.
- Skipped: Deliberately not performed (for example, the second dose was unnecessary).
- Cancelled: Called off.
- Failed: Attempted, but did not succeed.
Acting on an execution
Each row offers two actions:
- Start — available while the execution is pending or scheduled. The status changes to in progress and the team can see the work is underway.
- Complete — marks the work done and records who completed it.
The expected result after each click is a visible status change on the row and on the Execution summary card of the sale.
Starting, completing, or skipping an execution does not alter the sale's commercial values. A completed bath and a pending bath cost the same — execution answers "was it done?", not "how much is it?".
Instructions: Notes vs. Tasks
The Instructions tab (also available directly at the point of sale) attaches guidance to a sale. Veetz distinguishes two types:
- Info: A free note for context — "patient gets anxious during nail trimming". Nobody needs to act on it.
- Actionable: An operational task that must be done and tracked — "fast the patient 8 hours before the ultrasound".
Creating an instruction
- Type the text in the instruction field.
- Choose the type — Info or Actionable.
- Choose the priority: Low, Normal, High, or Urgent.
- Click Add instruction.
Following an actionable instruction
Actionable instructions show a status — pending, in progress, completed, or cancelled — a responsible person when assigned, and offer the same two buttons as executions:
- Start — while it is pending.
- Complete — when the task is done.
An info note has no status and no buttons — that is exactly the visual difference between an observation and a task.
If everything is Urgent, nothing is. Reserve Urgent for instructions where timing genuinely affects the animal's care, and let Normal be your default.
Common Problems
- The Start button is disabled: The execution is already in progress, done, or cancelled — the buttons follow the current status.
- "This sale has no operational executions": The sale contains only products, which need no execution, or the services haven't generated their work rows yet. Reload the sale.
- Someone else completed the work first: If your action conflicts with a change made on another device, Veetz asks you to reload before retrying. Reload, check the current status, and act only if still needed.
