Record or revoke a client's WhatsApp authorization
Record that a client agreed to receive WhatsApp notices. Without this authorization, the client gets no messages, even with WhatsApp connected.
Before you begin
- You need permission to edit clients.
Steps
- Open the client and go to Record.
- Check the client's country and mobile number. If you change anything, click Save.
- Under Authorizations, after the address, find WhatsApp. It shows Notifications not authorized.
- Click Authorize.
- In Authorization received via, choose how the client agreed: In person, WhatsApp, Email or Signed document.
- Tick the confirmation only if the client really agreed.
- Click Save authorization.
Done
WhatsApp now shows Notifications authorized, with the date. The client starts receiving the notices the clinic turned on.
To stop the messages when the client asks, click Manage and then Revoke authorization.
Good to know:
- Saving a phone number does not authorize the client.
- WhatsApp and email authorizations are separate.
- The notices are operational: appointments, reminders, completed services and available exams. They do not include marketing.
If something goes wrong
- "Save the client record first": there are unsaved changes in the record. Click Save and try again.
- "Phone number required": fill in the client's phone number and save.
