Turn on email notices for clients
Choose which email notices your business sends to clients. Each notice only reaches clients who authorized email.
Before you begin
- You need permission to configure the business.
Steps
- In the main menu, click Settings. If you are inside another area, first click the ← arrow at the top of the left menu until you are back on the dashboard.
- Under Integrations, click Email notifications.
- Turn on the notices you want to send. The change is saved as soon as you click the switch.
- To see what the client will receive, click Preview on the notice.
| Notice | When it is sent |
|---|---|
| New appointment | After a new future appointment is saved. |
| Appointment reminder - 2 hours before | Two hours before the appointment time. |
| Service completed | When the service is marked as completed. |
| Exam available | When the exam is made available. |
Done
The switches stay on. From now on, each event sends the notice to clients who authorized email.
Good to know:
- The four notices are independent and start turned off.
- Turning a notice on does not authorize clients. Each client's authorization is recorded in their record.
- The preview uses sample data and sends no email.
- Turning a notice on does not send notices for past events.
- Appointments created less than two hours ahead do not get a late reminder.
If something goes wrong
- "Email delivery is not available yet.": the switches stay locked until sending is enabled for your account. Talk to IVATEC support.
- "Preferences changed. Reload before trying again.": someone else changed the settings at the same time. Reload the page and try again.
- A client did not get the email: see I did not get the email.
